WHY YOU NEED TO GET CHECKED
AFTER A CAR ACCIDENT

Getting a medical evaluation from a trusted medical doctor is one of the most important things you can do after you have been involved in an auto accident. Here are 3 reasons why…

Reason #1

Diagnose hidden injuries such as a traumatic brain injury, internal bleeding, soft tissue damage, or whiplash

Reason #2

Delaying treatment because you didn’t go to the doctor right away could cause your injuries to worsen, which could delay your recovery.

Reason #3

Establish a record of the severity of your injuries and confirmation they were caused by the accident, which can be used as evidence to support your claims in the future.

DID YOU KNOW…

  • Studies show an impact at speeds less than 10 mph can cause injuries to the driver and passengers of a vehicle

  • There is a 47% incidence of traumatic brain injury in people who have sustained a whiplash type injury.
  • Vehicle damage does not correlate with the extent of injuries sustained in an auto accident.

In most cases a new patient can be seen the same day that initial contact with the office has been made.

A typical first visit consists of a consultation, a medical and physical therapy  examination, x-rays, a report of findings, and a pain management consultation to qualifying patients.

Personal Injury Protection (PIP) coverage is required to be purchased by all owners of motor vehicles registered in the state. PIP coverage makes the individual responsible for their own injuries in an accident regardless of fault. The intention is to provide injured drivers up to $10,000 in immediate medical coverage.

There is no direct cost to you. In most cases your Personal Injury Protection or Worker’s Compensation insurance covers all your costs.

The amount of visits vary for each individual, and are solely based upon the rehab schedule for your particular needs.
